Nylon Hose Restraints: 1 and 2 Ply

Nylon Hose Restraints: 1 and 2 Ply

from $22.85

Nylon hose safety restraints (or choker cables) slip over the hose coupling and cinch tight, providing versatile means of safety and protection. In the event that a hose connection fails, the Nylon restraint will hold the hose in check, preventing extremely dangerous hose whip and containing hazardous spills.  Please consult the chart for size range and pressure rating. Install with no slack. Make figure-8 double loop ends on small diameter hose for best retention.

Product Length is the loop-to-loop length at the median of its hose size range

NOTE: REPLACE AND DISCARD IF A BLOWOUT EVENT OCCURS

Replace every 2 years when in outdoor or harsh environments

In some cases rubberized tape should be applied to the hose to prevent cable slippage

NOTE: Restraints will be TAGGED with the size range shown in the chart only. While the cable is approved for other hose sizes, the tag on the product will not show this information because the length is designed to fit the hose sizes in the range listed. For custom tags or lengths please contact us.

Double wrap loops on hose diameters up to 1-1/4 inch to achieve maximum pressure rating listed.  On slick-cover and thermoplastic high pressure hose, wrap rubberized or self fusing tape between the restraint loop and the hose coupling to ensure that the restraint cannot slip off the hose.
